Manual Therapy

By combining manual therapy intervention with therapeutic exercises, we are able to help many of our patients recover and achieve success with their rehabilitation following injury, surgery or medical conditions.

Our manual therapy procedures include but are not limited to the following list. If you are seeking a specific form of manual therapy, please speak to one of our staff therapists. A number of our manual therapists are certified in various other manual therapy techniques as well as those listed here.

Passive Stretching – A process used on limited or restricted joints to enhance range of motion and reduce capsular tightness.

Manual Joint Mobilizations – These accessory motions are used to enhance the passive range of motion in a joint.

Myofascial Release – This is a gentle manual therapy technique used to increase blood flow and decrease subjective pain.

Soft Tissue Mobilization – This is a manual therapy treatment used to enhance resting tissue and reduce the presence of trigger points.

Cross Friction Massage – This is an aggressive manual therapy technique used to promote healing in patients with chronic tissue inflammation.
